New Publix at Romany Rd Lexington
Cleveland Construction, Inc. is managing the construction of the new Publix Super Market #2056 located on Romany Road in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Lexington, Kentucky.
The project involves demolishing an existing 25,500 square-foot structure and constructing a new three-level building featuring a 41,515 square-foot grocery store atop two levels of below-grade parking garage totaling 76,821 square-feet.
The building structure is of precast concrete and steel, with precast building walls and floor systems providing structural strength, durability, and efficiency. The grocery store occupies the entire third level, while parking is provided on the first level and a portion of the second level below grade.
The building’s exterior features masonry and brick finishes that reflect the architectural character of the Chevy Chase neighborhood, helping the new grocery store blend seamlessly into its surroundings.
Site work includes demolition of the existing structure, earthwork, site utilities, and the design and installation of an Earth Retention System (ERS) to support the excavation required for the underground parking garage.
